I realized my patterns in dating that were not working and led to dead-end relationships. When I finally met my life partner, I never would have considered him, had I not done work around what I was truly looking for. I am happy to say that my boyfriend and I currently have a 5-month old baby boy and plan to become engaged this year!

I was initially skeptical because I tried other dating coaching companies that claimed to help me get more matches online, but they could not. I had almost given up until one day, in the act of desperation, I just put it in the search box in google online dating coaching, and minutes later, I saw the website for the Bay Area Dating Coach. I signed up and talked to Jessica Engle about my problems with online dating, and she explained to me that her coaches knew precisely how to deal with my type of problem. I also want to add that all their coaches are licensed therapists too! My coach was very friendly and knowledgeable about online dating. He gave me strategies for building my profile and reviewed it when I changed the bio and photos. These changes resulted in me meeting the woman of my dreams.

I am very satisfied with the coaching I received from the Bay Area Dating Coach. Before seeing these coaches I was really quite lost on how to approach dating in the Bay Area (I grew up in the Midwest and dating was so different there). I had tried all the dating sites and had no luck, I was also out of ideas on where to go to meet other single people (also all my friends were in relationships which made things even harder). Bay Area Dating Coach did an incredible job with curating my online profiles, helping me find in person dating opportunities and even pushing me to approach others in at bars. I have had many successful relationships since seeing them and I recommend them to anyone looking for help in this incredibly important aspect of their life.

After recently participating in a dating coach workshop, I highly recommend these events to anyone who struggles with dating, specifically online. The group was diverse and the workshop was brief (2 hours isn’t enough time to solve 12 peoples dating troubles completely) but the moderation was excellent and the tone of the time was grounded and friendly. Each exercise led us easily into a simultaneous state of self reflection and a feeling of safety and community. I left feeling like there are many people in this city who are exhausted by the dating scene and yet having hope that if we all seek to better ourselves, through workshops like this one, we can all improve our odds of finding love and intimate connection. These women are total pros!!

Working with Bay Area Dating Coach and Ilana Cohen was a pleasure! When I began I had no energy or motivation but while working with her, I transformed into a healthier, happier person. I mainly sought coaching to make more friends and find THE relationship. I noticed that Ilana was not overwhelmed by my goals. She naturally has a gift for understanding social situations (even the smallest nuances) and gave me great honest advice. She is a great and attentive listener as well who really tried to turn me into the best version of me possible. I really thought it was fun to work with her and will always stay in touch. I am happy I found Bay Area Dating Coach and am grateful for their help!

I love Jessica! Her warmth and grounded energy always put me at ease. As opposed to a typical MFT therapist, she feels like a wise confidante. Her work with singles who have dating and social anxiety - as well as her couples therapy is informed by tons of experience, training and a deep love for her work and her clients. She’s taught me a lot about drama therapy, skill-building and how being in the moment - the experiential - is key to deep and lasting change.

I worked with Jessica over the course of several months, and it was an incredibly positive experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect or what I could learn, as I had read a lot of relationship and dating advice, and thought I understood more or less how things were supposed to work. As it turns out, I had a lot to learn about what was happening with me when I started to feel connected or attached to somebody, about boundaries, and about healthy communication, especially under stress.

I’m absolutely sure that the investment I made in getting feedback has helped me on so many levels. Throughout our work together, Jessica was incredibly empathetic, kind, and also practical and insightful. Part of the result of our work was realizing that I had some deeper work I needed to focus on in therapy, which is what I am doing now. For anyone considering getting coaching, I really recommend it. Reading books and getting informal advice is fine, but without somebody who is really listening to your particular situation and seeing with more objective eyes what is really happening with you, it will be more difficult to understand what is happening and how to best move forward. Good luck to anyone reading this review, and in the words of my friend’s grandmother, “every pot has its lid,” so let’s all do what we need to do in order to find our match! ;)

I got out of a long term relationship and I have tried to dating on my own, but with no success, much less I did not know why. I reached out to Jessica for help and since then my life has been positive and excitement as she has help me grow.

As someone who has had previous experiences with coaches I had to write a review about my experience with Jessica Engle. I truly appreciated her sincere interest and dedication to helping me help myself to move through obstacles that where stopping me from getting what I truly wanted. I never felt overcoached, yet the resources she offered left me empowered and inspired. I was able to leave behind baggage that was no longer serving me and have seen the positive results of her coaching translate into amazing results. I would recommend her highly and feel lucky to have found her !

My experience with Jessica Engle was rewarding, provocative, and fun. She is insightful, compassionate, funny, and definitely in the right line of work! I did fulfill my dream of being in a loving, committed relationship while working with her, and the work I did with her certainly helped bring about that result. I would recommend her to anyone interested in gaining insight into dating and relationships. (Or anything else, actually.) She’s good.

I went to this REALLY fun dating workshop last night, facilitated by Jessica Engle. I got to meet new single people and had two practice dates. We evaluated each other, which I love to do. One guy asked me out! I highly recommend Jessica’s workshops. She and her co-facilitator, Michelle, created a safe and comfortable environment. Everyone really connected with each other. It felt like we all had known each other for a long time.

Jessica Engle offers both wisdom and street smarts about the dating world. I’m a middle-aged widow, wandering in a bewildering terrain where wounded divorced men reign with their statistical as well as cultural privilege. I felt Jessica’s guiding hand. She’s full of ideas, dating sites, books, articles and Youtubes I would never have found on my own, along with deep empathetic listening and really good questions that enabled me to think outside the box of my initially low expectations.
— MJS

Jessica successfully calmed my fears and helped me feel more confident in starting conversations with women who I find attractive. She guided me in how to ask them out in a way which feels natural for me. I appreciated Jessica’s empathy, understanding and acceptance of me during our coaching sessions. I trusted her honest assessment of the next steps required for me to begin dating authentically and she empowered me to take action.

There’s so much I could say, but when it comes right down to it, working with Jessica has changed my life. My relationships and my career have both moved out of ruts since working with her. Through that transition and into now, she has always known when to listen and when to offer guidance. She balances emotional support and practical suggestions perfectly. And her sense of intuition is uncanny! I couldn’t recommend Jessica more highly; she is compassionate, funny, perceptive, attentive, and also incredibly resourceful. She is a dreamer with common sense- as rare as they come!
— Sarah M.

As a fellow coach and friend, I’ve seen Jessica consistently produce insight and healing that are rarely matched. Highly recommended.

I have known Jessica for about 4 years now (personally and professionally), have witnessed her work presented in training settings, and have consulted with her as a fellow therapist. She’s always warm, playful, perceptive, and compassionate about those she cares for. Jessica has in depth experience and expertise working with social anxiety, shyness, dating skills and so much more utilizing action-oriented and experiential drama therapy methods and modalities—while constantly deepening herself and her work through the latest research and information to better serve her clients. I would highly recommend her in a heartbeat!

When I came to see Jessica for a coaching session I was in the midst of serious overwhelm needed a new approach to my life challenges. Her presence and kindness brought a level of mindfulness and support through every aspect of working with me. I especially found the Drama Therapy to help open up my personal power in a way that talking alone didn’t do with other people i’ve worked with in the past. After helping me to get in touch with my strengths, she gave me tools to apply change in a way that was not overwhelming, and quite the opposite allowed me to breath deeply for the first time in a very long time. Now when I feel I have too much on my plate I can address the actions I need to take through what I gained with Jessica’s experiential approach to diminish fear and stress, putting me back in touch with my true potential and personal strengths.

Jessica is a good friend and colleague. She is one of the most skilled group facilitators I have ever witnessed or experienced. Jessica carries a beautiful balance of containment, warmth, holding, playfulness, and challenge. I highly recommend her to those struggling with a wide array of life’s challenges either in group or individually.

Jessica Engle is thoughtful, skilled practitioner that is able to meet you where you are. She uses a range of somatic practices that stimulate creativity and helps those of us so used to living in our heads use the resource of the body to gain valuable information for a transformational journey. You are in excellent hands with Jessica.
